A thoughtful message from Seminary of the Southwest Dean and President, The Very Rev. Dr. Cynthia Briggs Kittredge.
"During this blessed season of anticipation and expectation, I invite you to explore the 2013 Southwest Advent Meditations & Prayers. Seminary of the Southwest community members have written and recorded these offerings for each day of Advent. We share them with you and hope that they may guide your personal reflections during this Advent season. Please visit www.ssw.edu/Advent2013 for the first week's meditations and prayers." - The Very Rev. Dr. Cynthia Briggs Kittredge, Dean and President
As MyMinistry.org makes efforts to recruit an ethnically diverse group of fellows for the Parish Fellowship Program, we pause to view, reflect and discuss the state of racism in America with the rest of Seminary of the Southwest and The Episcopal Church. Join in this Friday, November 15th @1:00pm: http://www.ssw.edu/fifty-years-later-state-racism-america.
@BrittanySSW has visited several college campuses here in Texas this semester! Another college-focused event on her road map is @TexasDiocese's College Retreat at @CampAllen, February 2014: http://www.epicenter.org/collegeretreat/
MyMinistry.org looks forward to meeting new undergrads and reconnecting with those we've met this fall! Find our table that weekend and apply for a Parish Fellowship. A year to discern, serve and map out your future. We are all called, how will you answer?
"I moved up to Fort Worth from Houston just before the beginning of September and started work on the 1st. I quickly got acquainted with all of the staff here at All Saints' and really felt like I fit right in. The house I'm living in is one of the old rectories that is owned by the Church and is literally right across the street from the church building which is nice when I am a lay minister for the daily Eucharist at 7 am."
